Sound
We used a variety of different non-diagetic sound including sound effects, which added to the illusion of tension within the film and create a more in-depth edit of the production.
We were inspired by 28 Days Later (2002) non-diagetic sound track and so we decided to incorprated it into our work. The reason why we decided to use the style of `Drones` and Fast Beated songs is because, it allows the viewer to build suspense and will have a bigger impact of when the climax occurs.
In the end we decided not to use this soundtrack with our work as it wasn't in sync with the video footage. Instead we got our non-diagetic sound from www.FreeSFX.com. we felt that they suited our video footage more and they also created atmospheric tension. (BD, AH)
This is the website that we used for most of our opening sequence, it was particular good for sound effects such as the rain in the opening shot and the zombie groans in the background were found on this website.we also made our own sound effect such as the additional zombie groans and the screen at the end were done by the members of the group. Changes
On evaluating our opening sequence, one noticeable criticism of our sequence was the level of volume on the soundtrack used.we then edited these levels, lowering them and removing them were appropriate. (B.D, A.H)
