Inspiration For Our Horror Production
The first inspiration is from the re-make of Dawn of The Dead, which gives us an idea of what the setting will add more realism to the filming. We also decided this as our inspiration because it uses low-key lighting, which we are going to try and replicate within our filming as well. The reason why we are going to use the low-key lighting because it suggests a unknown and fearful atmosphere within the scene. Underneath is a example of the type of setting and lighting, we will try and use. We also want to adopt the story of young people under attack by groups of zombies, and the idea of unknown people becoming zombies. The clip below is set in an urban setting that we will also be using to make the audience uncomfortable as it increases the levels of realism and fear in every-day normality. (AH, EB, TC, BD)
Our Second Inspiration
Our second inspiration comes from the very popular Horror film called I Am Legend. Our inspiration we can gain from this about how the Virus effected the Zombies/Vampire and how we can use some ideas for our production. We can use the idea of the virus that mutates humans in zombies and by using the example below, maybe include a injection to bring them back to a human state. But as its an Opening scene, we will leave the injection out of it. Underneath is an extract from the movie, which displays the infected Zombie/Vampire. The idea of disease spreading makes the movie very contemporary, especially with the outbreak of the Norovirus and media panics associated with this. (AH, EB, TC, BD)
