Pre-Production Camera Shots Practice
(not Related to chosen Genre)
Here we have a selection of camera shots of intended shots that we will use in our horror opening scene. These were filmed before any finalised types of genre was chosen, so were filming a general Stalker Opening scene.
We have learned from this that, we should use loud and distorted sounds throughout the killing scene and move the camera around to show the killer's point of view or represents movement within the scene. We also gathered that the killing should be done in a low-key lighting setting and have more shadows and dark corners to represent something dark is present.
We learned that it's a common theme in some horror films that you don't actually see the death of the victim, it usually cuts away to a different scene just before or has close up of the actor or something in the foreground/background (BD)
